Universal Modification abutment (UMA) is tissue extension intermediate component with a universal restorative surface that allows all UMA restorative com1ponents to be interchangeable regardless of the implant type. Its restorative surface consists of a hex and tapered cone section. The tapered cone section provides strength and resistance to lateral forces. It is placed between the restoration and the implant and is made to fit many different types of implant connections. Recommended for use on bar/stud type overdentures, bridge reconstructions, telescopic angled abutments
